Burlesque

Three young Israeli musicians joined together two years ago and established the Burlesque trio. In the familiar setting of guitar-bass-drums, the threesome seeks new possibilities with a unique and precise instrumental style. As in the literary tradition of the Burlesque, which spices propriety with humor, the members of the trio offer a lighthearted interpretation to the heavy handed music as it was written. Traversing the expanse between humor and musical simplicity to complexity and artistic depth, they play original materials composed by guitarist Omer Schonberger, and combine musical styles and sources of inspiration such as Jazz, Rock from the late sixties, Rock and Folk music as well as electronic music and classical composition.

Organic Sound Unit

Six months ago, saxophonist duo Itamar Shatz and Raz Ezra decided to assemble a group that could express their musical world. They brought aboard another saxophonist, a trombone player and a trumpet player, with a bass guitar player and a drummer who formed an intimate ensemble by the name Organic Sound Unit. The group plays Experimental Jazz, most of which has been composed by Shatz and Ezra and arranged jointly. The youngest member of the group is 17 and the oldest is 21, making this group authentically representative of the next generation of contemporary Jazz, with all of the warmth, enthusiasm and joy for shared creative works. The members of the group are also friends beyond this venture and the dynamic of their encounter as an artistic ensemble is manifested in their musical and creative journey as they combine hard work with great harmony and spirited commitment.
